We are looking forward to lots of outdoor learning this term and using and applying all the skills we have been working on this year. 

We love using our fantastic outdoor area to develop our creativity and our social skills.

This Term

This term we will be covering:


  • Number and Place Value
  • Addition and Subtraction
  • Multiplication and Division
  • Geometry – Shape


This term we will be focusing on phonics, reading, spelling and handwriting. Much of our written work will be linked to our Topic. As the term progresses we will also be covering the following in English:

  • Fiction: Stories in Familiar Settings, stories involving fantasy.
  • Non-Fiction: Labels, lists, signs and posters, Information texts
  • Poetry: Songs and Repetitive poems, poems about animals

Creative Learning

Year 2 children will be working on a topic around the theme – ‘Events Beyond Living Memory’

Year 1 children will be joining Mrs Jones and Class 1 for their Creative Learning lessons on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Their theme is ‘Magical Me.’


Our new RE topic is ‘God’. Looking at “What do Christians believe God is like?”

PE Lessons


Premier Sports will continue with PE and the well-being programme. 

There will also be opportunities to develop fitness and complete the Golden Mile.


Could you please ensure that your child has a full PE kit in school every day and that all items are clearly named.
