We are looking forward to lots of outdoor learning this term and using and applying all the skills we have been working on this year. 

We love using our fantastic outdoor area to develop our creativity and our social skills.

This Term


This term we will be covering:


  • Number
  • Fractions
  • Addition and Subtraction
  • Shape
  • Time
  • Multiplication and Division
  • Money
  • Data 


This term we will be focusing on phonics, reading, spelling and handwriting. Much of our written work will be linked to our Topic. As the term progresses we will also be covering the following in English:

  • Fiction: Fairy tales
  • Classic contemporary fiction
  • Non-Fiction: Letters
  • Information texts
  • Poetry: Poems on a theme
  • Traditional poems

Creative Learning

Year 2 children will be working on a topic around the theme – ‘Where In The World’

Year 1 children will be joining Mrs Jones and Class 1 for their Creative Learning lessons on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Their theme is ‘Our Wonderful World.’


Our new RE topic is ‘Judaism’. Looking at special meals, Shabbat, Family, Mezzuzah, Star of David, Pentecost.

PE Lessons

Mrs McCaffrey will be doing some athletics,  we will also be learning some team games. We have PE lessons twice a week.

Could you please ensure that your child has a full PE kit in school every day and that all items are clearly named.
