After School Club
Our After School Club is run by and based at the school. The wraparound care is supervised by Mrs MacBean, who is assisted by Miss Roger and Miss Dillon. Being part of the school enables us to use all the resources and the outside space that are available in the school. In addition due to all the staff holding other roles in the school we are able to provided a seamless extension of the school day.
Mrs MacBean has a level 3 diploma in Playwork and Catering. In addition she is a qualified designated safeguarding lead and part of the school safeguarding team. Miss Dillon has a level 3 diploma in Children and Young Person Workforce. Miss Roger has a level 3 diploma in supporting teaching and learning.
We can accommodate children of school age from Reception to Year 6. On a daily basis there will also be a choice of craft activities or child initiated play. Children will be playing outside everyday, please send in old clothing and trainers if you wish them to change for clubs.

There is a choice of sports, crafts or child led play at the first session, and child-led play at the second. We have expanded the options for next term so that the children can make their choice on the day.

My son attends both breakfast and after-school club every day. The sessions are invaluable and enable him to attend Brookland School without affecting my working week. The breakfast selection is excellent and he often informs me of new foods he has tried and enjoyed. The activities at after school club are varied and he especially loves the cooking club, he is always very proud of the various things he has made and bought home. All wraparound care staff are absolutely brilliant and he adores each and every one, I drop him off in the mornings knowing he will be well looked after and look forward to picking him up full of stories of what he has done throughout the day. Thank you for always putting on such an excellent provision for the children throughout the school year.
